Bob Whitaker Jr. started his professional career working for his father, Bob Whitaker, Sr., the founder of Whitaker House. Shortly after committing his life to the Lord, Bob Sr. wanted to share the gospel with others and soon started a book-distributing venture, all while continuing to work fulltime. His distributing business grew so Bob Sr. eventually sold his business to devote all his time, energy, and money toward the new distributing venture. Eventually, Whitaker began publishing books as well. When Bob Jr joined his father’s company, he convinced a new potential author, Edwin Louis Cole, to write Cole’s first book, Maximized Manhood. While his father was alive, Bob Jr. built the book warehouse into a sister company, Anchor Distributors. Now, after more than forty years in business, Bob Jr. presides over both companies in a modern warehouse/office facility just east of Pittsburgh. Under Bob Jr’s direction, Whitaker House continues to be dedicated to proclaiming the gospel to the lost and flooding the world with life-changing literature of eternal value.
