In a world that seems to spin increasingly into chaos, in a year when our personal worlds seem uncontrollable, it’s important to have a Control Room.

The Word of God reigns even in confusion. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15).

I’m going to talk to you about your Control Room at the CMN Global Summit. It is one of the most important truths of manhood that I have ever learned.

And going to the Global Summit is one of the most important things I’ll be doing in the next few months. 

I’m bringing a friend because it’s vital that we carve time out to gather as men, as brothers, to encourage and minister to each other, and to learn from other men. And I’m asking you to do the same. Join us, and bring a friend.

The Control Room is not a place, not even a specific time of day. The Control Room is a condition in which we place ourselves before God. In this condition, we conduct a life-scan. We’re not necessarily praying. We just lay out everything in our lives. Our spouse. Our investments. Each of our children. The work we’ve been given responsibility for. Our issues with neighbors and relatives. The ministry we’re engaged in.

This condition can happen in the early morning, while on a run, late at night on your back porch, on the couch in your office, in the car in your workplace parking lot.

Every man who’s going to be a good and godly man needs to find a time to get into this condition, this Control Room, and allow our heart, our soul, our imagination to flow over our life before God.
I encourage you to quiet yourself before the Lord, to place decisions that determine your life before God, and allow him to give you His perspective, leadership, guidance, impressions. I’ll tell you more when I see you.

One of the greatest honors and delights of my life is having the incredible spiritual heritage God has provided me. But, at least half of everything He has done started with me just showing up.
 
On the day before this year’s 2021 CMN Global Summit on November 4-6,our ministry will receive the 2021 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Disaster Volunteerism. The only way we could get that award is by showing up, and by encouraging about a thousand volunteers to show up as well.

I want to encourage you this November to join me and hundreds of men who just show up to be challenged and encouraged by some of the greatest men and ministers walking the planet. We’ll encourage each other, minister to each other. And have deep times of prayer and ministry together.

Please take this great opportunity to bust out of the routine, and get a fresh perspective and a fresh dream. God wants to do that for you.

CMN has taught us not to pray for opportunities, but to pray to be ready when opportunities come. 
Scripture says in 1 Corinthians 16:9, “A great and effective door has been opened unto me but the adversaries are many.” Often the adversary is trying to keep us from getting involved in something bigger than ourselves. But that’s what we need.
We’ve learned that the key to success is timing–being the right man, at the right time, in the right place. 
This is one of those opportunities, and one of those times when we have a choice. Sure, you’ll have to get organized, get others to fill your shoes for a couple of days, but I am certain you’ll be grateful for the rest of your life that you attended the Lions Roar Global Summit.

Pastor John Arana and Pastor Sam Masteller taught tremendous sessions from the book Strong Men in Tough Times translated into Vietnamese. This was a strong and on-time word for the men of this pivotal Southeast Asia nation.
